My space is everyone's space, have people gone crazy,
go ahead, put a "private" photo on your space
then freak when some fruitloop causes your life to get hazy.
It almost makes me chuckle, but really it's not a damn bit funny
just how daft people have gone to get their fifteen minutes of fame,
beautiful females uploading nude photos of their own degradement
not comprehending how easy some crazy can get their address and name.
Such a dangerous game, but society says, "go ahead girl, it's cool"
everbody is doing it and you must get it, and just join the game,
but it's NOT cool at all when some perverted old squirrely dude
knocks on your door smiling, and directly calls you by your real name.
Author notes
Having kids, this "Space" is a parent's worse nightmare. I'm not at all saying that everyone on these "spaces" are bad and evil people. With all the missing teenage girls in this country meeting guys on the net and going somewhere private to meet them, it is getting really scary for parents. Really not just teenagers, but even adults, And, it's not only females, it's males just as well. The "spaces" are really fun when used for the right reasons. I live in Southern Illinois, and know some parents of teenage daughters who have actually experienced this(meeting a person somewhere private), and thank goodness things didn't turn ugly, but they could have. Anyway, just my take on the issue.

You have hit upon a most sensitive awareness of societal and spiritual change. People growing up in inner city communities have known this for many years. We are in the world of Jerry Springer and Nancy Grace and the best that society provides is Memorial Services. Writing about it and talking about it are the beginnings of a new kind of community.

As sad as this is, I know that it's true, no matter how much we wish it wasn't. I think it's great that you're addressing the issue, great write, loved it
