Spring Senses

I feel the breeze of the wind,
as it brushes past me so delicately,
it touches my face and being,
and then moves on without a care.

I see the light of of the suy,
and I cover my eyes, but eventually adjust
it sets my skin ablaze,
but I enjoy soaking up all its rays.

I smell the charcoal of a grill,
as it wafts through the air,
and soon the food will be done
and I can enjoy a great spring meal.

I can taste the sweetness of fresh lemonade,
and it goes down my gullet so easily,
reminding me of springs before,
and it becomes a part of a new memory.

I can hear the sound of children playing,
and I live vicariously through their innocence
my soul is so free and it flies through the air,
and my heart is content as I walk in such peace.

Wow you have thrilled the senses with this wonderful write ...an excellent piece ..yah should use a blossom background to make it complete ..just a suggestion like icing on a delicious cake

    • Well, unfortunately I feel the same way as you. Of course, my visual impairments give me certain limitations so I wouldn't know how to adjust this. Hence the reason why all my poems look the same. I suppose that's why I try 10 times as hard to convey my pessage through words.

  • a really great write there,hun.
although there were a few errors..
and then moves n without a care.
sould ne an i before the n..
and delete one of the "of's" and suy should be sun..see??
I see the light of of the suy.

but, it is a wonderful write, love.
    Sarah

    • Yeah, I was trying to hetype a poem whilst drunk. It usually doesn't turn out well, anyway. Thank you for pointing out the errors that I was too lazy to prove reading.
      Thanks,
      BC.
