These thoughts, these words!
They crowd my brain
Until I fear I've gone insane...
Where's my paper?
Where's my pen?
Damn, I've lost the thread again!
Wait! I've got it!
No, that's not right...
My thoughts are chaos in my mind-
I fear I'll never end this rhyme...
Author notes
This was a collaboration with my 11 year old son...just some silly fun hope it gives a laugh!

I hate how it feels to have writers block. This is really funny and I can definitely relate to it. I especially like the ending.

Thanks! Writers block is the worst- I especially hate it when I'm almost finished with a poem but can't come up with a good way to end it!
This was a fun one to write, I'm glad you enjoyed it

That was very cute and very true in my case. I never seem to be able to put all of my thoughts down when I really want to. ^_^

Lol, exactly! I think of stuff to write at the weirdest times- like while I'm drying my hair or in the shower lol. Then I'm repeating it frantically to myself in an effort to remember until I can get to paper!

well written to both of you

Lol thanks- this was such a fun one to write, especially since it was with my son

exactly what happens if we don't get the thoughts down fast enough too. I keep a pad and pen everywhere I might be. The car, the bath, the kitchen, beside the bed ... the living room, the family room, the patio ... it goes on and on.

Lol, exactly what I had to start doing...otherwise I had all these phrases rattling around in my head that I just knew would sound right if I could only get them in order! Thanks for the comment

Guess we've all been here at some point, you capture the feeling well. How lovely that you can share the writing with your son, how long memories of writing together will be treasured. Keep penning...Kindest thoughts and wishes, Anna-Marie.

Thank you
Yes I love it that he likes to write himself! And he's quite good for being so young- we bounce ideas off each other frequently. This is our 1st 'together' poem & it is a rather special experience
