We
are much
more than a
quick blurb on the
internet super-
highway that drowns us in
untold amounts of nega-
tive media. Drowning it's own
public in a sea of depressing
statistics. Criminal stats, poverty
stats, prison stats, addiction stats all flood
screens and minds in critical under-
tones that earn more ratings and cash.
Under headlines of murder,
gangs and thievery is where the brown faces
most dance across
the screen. But
I say
we
are
more than
that. In the
television
newsworld something smells
and it's not fragrant. If
it's not the suspects it's the
witness who's the most unkempt the
media is sure to portray. Dare
the media to portray otherwise.
