When I look at you, my heart soars,
I see you smile, & my day is bright,
You make me smile when I cry,
You hold me tight, & tell me it’s ok.
My day is brightened when you hug me,
I can’t help but smile when you hold me close to you,
The rain doesn’t seem there when you are near,
The clouds are parts of my imagination when you are close to me.
When I tremble, you hold me close to you,
When I cry, you kiss me & tell me it’s ok,
You know how to keep me warm,
You know how to make me laugh.
You are my sun on rainy days,
You drive sorrow & tears away,
You are the moon & stars at night,
You keep me safe when trouble is near.
I love more than anything,
I never want to lose you,
I never feel alone when I am in your arms,
I never keep my secrets from you.
