Rare in life are times that bring
A gifted voice to softly sing
Poetic songs that will impart
A melody that fills the heart
How fortunate when it arrives
That we might feel it touch our lives
And gratefully embrace the gift
That gives our weary souls a lift
Just like a summer breeze will blow
O’er heated brows with gentle flow
So quick yet sweet their words flow smooth
Across our hearts and gently soothe
And precious are the times we share
With those who have this gift so rare
To ease our burdens with their smile
And linger here with us awhile
It’s rarer still before life ends
That we can call these poets friends
And though your journey here is through
I’m thankful I was friends with you
Marge, it was a beautiful summer breeze
Thank you my friend
