It's another sunrise
Little golden needles
bring smiles to flowers,
awakening to homes,
bustle to city roads
I can see the purple sky
drowning in maple syrup
The song of life begins
Cheery notes, full of hope
It's another day for me
Gone are yesterday's shadows
It's bright and I can see
the road ahead is paved
with golden opportunities
My soul is flying free
I can sing of my dreams
I can paint them into reality
I could win the lottery
I could be a rock star
Today'll be just the day for me!

i love the second stanza! amazing imagery and great word choice. but the last two lines seem a little weak to me. more imagery maybe and different word choice.
