Virginia

The whisper of a place
Torn
Scrunched up and thrown away
The heroes of the day
Can't talk aloud
They fade away

Voices of  disbelief
Can't tell the tale of their relief
Can't reprimand the killing eyes
When they, with evil in disguise
Sought blood from those
The innocent
So violent and evil bent
From nether Earth and devil sent

Virginia

Celebrate in your lament
For with each breath he's further down
With every tear he is hell bound

But the everlasting sound
Sings in our hearts as one of peace
One of Liviu's release

Your poem or piece of art I will say, is beautiful. I do mean this I am not the type of person to read something comment like some do, for the wrong reasons. examples points applauding stuffl like that I see and understand why this site runs this way, but at the end of the day after all is said and done means diddly sqat for a person like me. I just love reading poetry like yours and I will give you the reasons, first of all. so much poetry I read, I can hardly understand, am I stupid perhaps, but the average person, can not relate with such huge words that have to be litterally looked up in the dictionary to understand, in fact the average person reads at a grade nine level, we are speaking averages that is. So if I go to read something and right off the bat I dont know the meaning of words, than its no longer poetry. It is only poets that have the same education or vocabulary as themselves. And how I back this up is with this statement.....the bible and I am not a religious nut, which is suppose to contain the simplest messages was written in such a way, that confuses people, If the word of God lets say for argument is a simple one, than why the fuss with all the rest of the words, that the average person will person never understand, all those pages of pages of what. Its a simple message, but yet the need to complicate it, is beyond me. It was such a pleasure in reading your poem..........thanks, for wishing me luck, it has always been a simple dream of mine to get a tiny tiny thing published.. but in this world money makes money and without it,,,,,,,,,,,I wil remain just a speck of sand. and be happy for it.........................

    A perfect piece!!!

In my opinion, this site was lost without your exquisite poetry. There's something missing when you go absent. I'm thrilled you just got engaged!!! I hope this boost in your happiness produces some more masterpieces. Of course, you recognized the ultimate sacrifice made by a true hero in Liviu Librescu. Brilliant!
