The Wolf

With bronze eyes ablaze

Leaping into the morning haze

Teeth piercing deep

A scavenger tearing at meat

With frothy fangs abare

Leaving bellows in the balmy air

Claws barring withdraw

A quarry fighting its fall

With sated stomach full

Strutting as if a Spanish bull

Eyes veiling surprise

A glut saying no goodbyes

What did you think

Thank you for the nice comment. I just signed on yesterday and am still learning how this whole system works. I decided to remove that it was unfinished because after reading it again, it actually does feel complete

I really like this piece. How descriptive it is without you saying exactly what creature you're discussing save for the title. I love pieces like that.

    "With frothy fangs abare

Leaving bellows in the balmy air"

That's my favourite part. Great job on this [even though it says it's unfinished]. You really have some talent.
