Ocean Deep -- Updated

I am currents and waves, I am deep and blue
I let the colour of the sky dictate my hue.
I have so much beneath which cannot be seen
I reached all the corners, there’s no place I’ve not been

I have seen many a voyage and felt many a net
I have shown peace and rage, conquered? Not yet.
I hold many a tail of both peril and pride
And from the world, so many treasures I hide.

I was greeted each morning by the majestic sun
This was how I knew another night I had won.
One clouded day the warmth was not there
I had angered it, shunned from its stare.

I broke through the clouds and down the rays blazed
Stronger than ever, before then, never been so amazed.
Each evening would colour my sky like a canvas and oil
Painting all the light touched, even the darkest of soil

My surface was glorified and waves roared with bliss
The sun warmed my body, down to the deepest abyss.
What glory, the rays danced and reflect off my face
Making rainbows in spray in clean open space

Gone!

My surface is silent, no movement or tide,
The sun once again behind cloud went to hide.
This time the reason, I fear I know why
I see it, its there, but the clouds I can’t pry.

I wait, still and quiet, each passing night
But the sky is black, no colour in sight.
Each morning I’m up hoping to the day break
But to dark and grey cloud, is all that I wake.

I wait, I can see it, I know that its there
But from my depths I am cold, no warmth, no where.
I wait; it knows my soul needs it to survive
Until the cloud disperses, I am not alive.

Patience

I've waited, I waited, I stood by the window,
I see it, its there, its here, i feel its glow.
The clouds are seperating, ever so slightly
My surface is moving, rippling lightly.

My tide is moving, the waves have returned
My colour is turning, for this I have burned.
My sunshine is back, its heat is pure bliss,
I've waited, my sunshine, my waves, this.

Three wonderful steps on a journey from the heights of happiness, the depths of despair and the fragile stillness of patience. Well done.
