The gracious raptors
Brandishing wing spans
Soaring—
High amongst the Hawk-clans:
Red-backed, Hawaiian, Red-tailed
Grey, Great Black with a Mangrove in view
Also the White ones
And the Solitary too…
Birds of prey
Or adventure
Strident silhouettes
None can censure
Earth provides posts
Upon which to perch
Lakes are full
With life teeming to burst
Those circular motions in your repertoire
Nourishment swims there you know
“What you reap…”
Continues to grow
Bird, great bird!
Fly high each day
Your wings are no accident
Keenly gliding the currents (I’d say)
As you are amongst us
In this fabled land
Spread your wings and fly
Your marvelous flight is your stand…

This piece is written for my favorite storywriter on AP: hawkeslake. She is such a generous soul. She has very recently experienced a trial that I just learned about the other day. If you know her, you know her strength and sincerity. This is a small token of appreciation and encouragement to her. Thank you for the visit.

I really don't ever expect anything less than exquisite when I visit your writes! I am always full of emotion of one kind or another when reading your work. As always Ran-san, this brought a lot of emotion, and reading the note and seeing that it was a dedication made my heart swell, as I am sure it made hawkeslakes' heart fill will emotion. I love this comment for its suprise effect on me; for its openness and sense of appreciation but mostly for recognizing so clearly (and pointing it out) that hawkeslake "already has what it takes to overcome adversity" for it is exactly how I felt about her but ended up saying all that other stuff above instead of the simple, direct way that you said it). haha...I truly thank you for such high praise alby.

I know her, and agree wholeheartedly with you..She is the best! I wasn't aware she was still dealing with anything, but knowing her I'm sure with people ike you and her own inner strength that she will get through her trial..this is a wonderful dedication and should offer her a huge moment of smiles and a feeling of serenity, it sure gave that to me!
