Silenced...

Today I am silenced
For those who gave their lives

In this bloody battle

For a cure.

I will always remember
The over twenty-five million
Who became sacrifices

So young and premature.

Each day I hope and pray

For a cure to this disease
That taints the blood body
And breaks the Human soul.

Let us take a stand
As one united body
As one united spirit

And ring ten times the bells toll.

Until they find a cure...

This is a good poem with a solid structure and a great deal of meaning. I would say that you could improve it by making the tone of the poem either softer OR harder. At the moment it is a tad drab at point. If you want to make it softer add a few more sibilant sound and if you want to make it harder more hard consonants.

I really enjoyed this poem and would like to read more from you.
