Mysteries

Shadows of my past
still linger in my mind,
memories of long ago
I can't leave behind.
There are things I long to remember
that define who I am,
these things that guide me
down the road of promise
to fulfilling one's life plan.
This exciting road of the future
is also shrouded with mystery,
the only things that are certain
for both you and me
is the road of present that will take us
to where we need to go,
hence from where we came
are only memories of long ago.
How we piece together this jigsaw puzzle of life,
will be what will guide us in the choices we make,
that shape our life.
