For all the times I came home with only you running to greet. For all the flea baths that made me laugh for being on my mouse hunt staff.For passing time with string and balls. For always answering all of my calls.For being my shadow that followed me around.for every thing that now leaves a frown.For being there right til the end. For being a cat that became my friend........I miss you

Im so sorry you lost your beloved pet. I lost my weiner dog 6 years ago and it still breaks my heart to think about it

So sad to say good by to our pets. I can so identify with your sweet farewell. Hard to say goodbye to the little one who was always looking for your return and then your constant companion. I miss mine too. Your poem reminds me of why I miss them so much, because they were always there, waiting for us.

It may be just your little cat that you will miss but I am sure you willl always hold a little spot in your heart for Gage. Don't think Grandaddy would ever get over Flash so YES I understand the meaning.
You could put commas in front of all the "For"s.
Or I'd just leave it just as it is..Love you

(Ours is not a cat, but a guinea pig who gives us great delight.)
