Eight Feet High

I have a little feeling this is right
I'm eight feet up, I'm flying like a kite
Time keeps slipping faster than I know,
But look at all the love we have to show.

Take my hand and walk me to the moon
I'm hoping this will not be over soon.
I'm dreaming, look me straight into the eyes
don’t try to pull another fake disguise.

I need to know these days are worth the pain
Of starving for your love, to keep your name.
Your touch is worth a thousand words or more,
My heart you hold is broken and quite sore

I'm trusting you to be my solid ground
You're the only thing so far that I have found.
You're good enough to show me to the light,
Please bring me to your dreams tonight.

    Wow

This is really an excellent job, Claire. It's fun to think back nearly 5 years and see the change that has taken place in your writing. This is so well thought out and nicely expressed. "Trying to find words," indeed, and I think you've done a pretty good job of finding them. The rhyming is great too. I really like this - don't wait so long to do another.
