Married life is always at its best,
when it’s simply based on harmony.
Not a free for all contest,
does it really matter whose right or wrong.
The main thing in life is how you get along,
marriage isn’t quite the same.
When you introduce the guilt trips run by mr. Blame,
and remember before you start to moan.
You might just have a little fault to call your own,
there’s a game that only two can play.
Write a list of all your partners good points each day,
and after all his bad points spring to mind.
You’ll discover that your own will be much harder to find,
take care of things your good at your partner do the same.
Allow for each other’s weaknesses helping each other be your aim,
and sometimes when things are in a mess,
Remember that love is the fuel of happiness.

This poem holds some wonderful words of advice for Danielle and Thomas. Every married couple should do as you have suggested. Thank you for taking part.

Many Thanks for your kind comments on "Marriage" I am glad you liked it. I suppose I am qualified after 50 years of marriage, although it(the poem)is really the "ten commandments" of a successful marriage, most desirable and neccessary but difficult to implement
because we are all cursed with Mr.Ego on our backs.
My "Love is the fuel of Happiness" is in a similar vein.I must read some of yours.Best Wishes and Kindest Regards ....George....

Down to earth advice from someone who has experienced life long enough to know. Advice worth more than all the pretty speeches put together.
