The Great Wheel of Cosmic Fate
continues to turn...endlessly.
In the myriad manifestations
of my malleable spirit, I encompass
all space and time, all phases
of existence, from amoeba to angel.
I have crawled from alluvial slime;
felt the first stirrings of awareness
as I walked upright on the plains of Africa -
and I remember the long fall from grace,
the banishment from the Halls of Heaven,
the treachery of angels.
I have watched sunlight soften the walls of Troy,
wild winds shriek their fury over angry oceans,
and I have drank the bitter bile of defeat.
As a dolphin, I have plumbed the liquid depths;
as a vulture, I have tasted carrion flesh;
as a man, I am both god and mortal.
From lowliest germ to mouse and man,
my spirit dances to the Karmic Plan.
