Joy

A soft pink feeling
Like an unfolding rosebud
Like the early dawn
Reaching horizon’s edges
A pink sensation of joy

A warm gold feeling
Newly opened buttercups
Late afternoon sun
Its mantle warms the world
A golden feeling of joy

  • wow, friend, this to me expressed how many people diversify in what brings them joy... and some lucky ones see feel joy in everything.

Yet, the funny thing is, you only touch on colors.

And still you make me think of so many things revolved in joy.

    Very clever.

And btw, thank you for your kind comments on my write.

    Colors

You know the artist sees beyond everyday life. Be it from a canvas or a pen. They always create. As you have.

    i always love color equasions

they do fully enhance the image because they are so relateable .. like all the colors of the soul

  • I really like the creativity of this poem. The personalities of the colors are really original. I especially liked the last stanza. Beautifully written.

A great poem and i totally agree with the colors being the feelings of things. You gave joy its own mystique with the colors you used and i could very well visualize them. Your canvass is a joy.

  • This is a real little gem, a real treat to read, well written great imagry a really strong piece

  • I have an antique pink rosebud, which drew me to your poem. I would stay with pink, strictly because it has an emergant flare and, eventually shares the color box with a variety of feelings. But, I realy like the way that you structure this.
