a mineral graveyard

i'm unsure
if i am meant to be up North,

somewhere with cliffs
that extend and extend
(like a male modern dancer, a body of awe)

these mighty bones of mother earth
that cascade into the sky.

that are being eroded by rushing water

the water so fatally cold, the color of listerine
you would die in a flourish of mint.

the scissors in those rapids
would shiver straight through flesh
a body would burst into a million snowflakes.

spread me out,
all across the ground
all throughout the sea
never to be found.

  • hey taylor. long time no talk. i always feel happy after reading your poems, even if it's a sad one. or especially if it's a sad one (why is that? i don't know.) thanks for the happiness regardless

  • You are amazing... You are everything a person could dream of, if they dreamed of being a beautiful writer. I hope your writing brings you joy, and I know it must. Don't ever stop, don't ever let your fellow humans make you stop writing -- just because they don't, or because they don't appreciate it.

You are better/more useful than all the poets in the school textbooks put together.

    • P.S. -- i had to say this, because i thought it was funny...

my icon picture is REALLLLLY old, like... 2+ years old, and... it's funny to see it there next to something I just typed 5 minutes ago........ because in that picture.... I'm like 60 pounds heavier. (heheehee!.. yeah... i used to weigh 300 -- in that picture I was like 200/180 -- and now I am 125 -- like I was always supposed to be (I had a tiny body under all that obesity, whodathunk it! ))

oh & just to say, in case you're curious, i lost all the weight eating well! (not being sick & not eating! or overexercising! -- I eat 2,000 calories (or MOREE!!! MMM!!) a day, and am still pretty lazy, but I've been exercising for an hour every other day. -- i wasn't trying to brag, i just thought it was funny to see my face that wasn't my face any more!!
