the difference between
a false statement and
a lie
is intent
the former but a derivative
of misconception
which is of course a human trait
and a mirror intends nothing
yet another human trait
if you are indeed human
which implies heart, or soul, or
whatever it is that holds compassion
for I am the image
and the vision
expressed through metaphor
because you never really knew me
and I watch as the seams leak
from the center of the lie that you created
and wrap themselves around the misconception
of my creation
how ironic, if not trite
standing here
watching the blood
trickle from between the shards
