the infinite cycle

Overpowering lust compels
you to shoot up,
just one more time,
the voices thirst for
that high,
they hunger for the emotion;
ecstacy

Unexpected jubilation
bursts from within
sending you skyrocketing,
the voices atwitter with
maddening joy

Abruptly,
the chain tying you to earth
pulls you back
snaps so hard,
crushes your thoughts;
shattered

You tell yourself
never again,
but the voices...
they scream;
encore
and soon enough, your body
shakes -

ravenous for more.

  • There seems to be some truth to this poem. That wouldn't normally be a bother except for the fact that it's been written by satan-...

    I always thought satan- and truth were incompatible entities.
