Christmas & Easter

    CHRISTMAS    --------------------------------------------------------------------  EASTER
(four verses for each season, reflecting Childhood, Teens, Parenthood, Maturity?)

A time of plastic                                                                I remember when
toys and plastic jolliness                                                    Easter was a hard-boiled egg
but mam baked a cake                                                      handpainted and rolled
and left the oven wide                                                      downhill in the spring-day sun:
to warm up the house inside.                                            sich simple fun, back then.

This reflects reality, but does it come across as cynical?

I plan to revise this poem: please leave constructive criticism!

    Cynical

    Don't be cynical,
    It's a follicle miracle.
    I said don't be cynical,
    I keep waxing lyrical.

Wow that's really different. I'm new to all these different types of poetry and haven't seen this one yet. Great job, If I read it right it flows really well from left to right.
