Sometimes I don't understand -
Don't see why you are next to me.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - as they say
Am I beautiful too you?
I don't want to be one of those girls,
constantly needing reassurance
But i need to ask, just this once
What do you see in me?
What is it that made you stop and look -
What was it that made you see me?
You seem to know me -
Counted my smiles, made room for more
Understand my looks,
Notice when I'm not in the room
Its hard to read you
But i get you too -
You hide behind the crazy smile
Hide the hurt inside
I can't change your past or mine
I'm trying to go with the flow -
understand, take each moment as it comes
each second for what it is.
I know this is my problem
my issues, but I'm silently crying
scared too hope but clinging to it
Each day I wonder is this the day
Am i not to come around anymore, not to call
Is this a relationship we have?
I need to know just were i stand in this
sinking pool.
I've never been like this before
I miss you when your not around,
miss the way your arms feel around me
even miss the male moments you have
because they make those sweet ones -
all so much sweeter.
I'm not asking for the ring -
no diamond declaration
but could you let me know
please tell me
Do you love me?

this is a great poem. it shows much emotion. it is very astute. you bring grace to writing. it reveals so much of the situation. you put a lot of feelings in this and you show a soft side of love as well as a fragile side. you did a great job with these emotionally as well as literary.

The fragility of true love asks questions that sometimes cannot be answered and we must wait for real love will glide and keep reassuring us of our need but holding us to learn to trust...your beautiful poem reads just like this and is well captured poet an excellent write

all of your questions have answers...inside of you...once you redefine what it is that determines your worth...all your questions of today will go right out the window...you will experience a world where the colors are brighter and true happiness is the standard. The truth of the matter is that until you can answer your questions yourself...you are never going to fully reach your potential as a person or a partner...
suffering makes for great poetry...but too much for too long is not fair to the light that longs to shine from within you!!
