My Father--- Mr. Ijmal Haider Zaidi

The noble personality, the great man indeed,
My Father clothed me, he did feed,
Throughout my life, till mid-thirties,
Removed all my worries, he, the tender breeze!

Never felt I loneliness throughout these years,
His shelter protected me from fears,
When time arrived when I should have served
Him, he departed to heavens, the brave, steel-nerved!

His smiles were sweeter than ringing bells,
His voice served as magic spells,
His manners polite, his sophisticated way,
Like fragrant flowers start their sway!

My father was great, matchless, no qualm,
He regularly prayed and distributed alms,
To the deserving, poor and needy,
In helping others, was swift and speedy!

I missed my father, the noble soul,
In my upbringing, pivotal was his role!

Please tell me what you think
