Cry For Them

I wanna cry,
But the tears are gone
Instead,
Their families weep
Sons are gone
Daughters, too
Kids sob for their father
Wives cry themselves to sleep
What can we do to keep
The people of our country safe
I wanna cry
But the tears are gone
Instead,
The nation weeps.

So sad but well written. I like your style of poetry.

My stance on war is mixed. But one truth that comes from war as you have stated so well is that is leaves nations in mourning.
