When sun shines golden
and skies are clear blue.
The flowers bloom colorful,
rainbows in a sea of green.
And the grass always looks greener to me on our side of these fences.
Many hours we spent at the beach.
Waves brushing over our feet,
destroying the bases of sand castles long-since built.
Three months of freedom from chaos
and all I can hear are those waves.
The calming sound of crashing water.
And your voice whispering in my ear that you love me.
The summer nightfall, made up of dark skies rising and bright light falling.
We stay up all night, sprawled in the sand together as we count the stars.
Shadows dance along the dunes, but I'm safe here in your arms.
When all I want to hear is the sound of crashing water.
And your voice singing that you'll love me 'til the stars find their end.

I'm really anxious for summer to get here, and while I was watching the sun set out the window, it made me think of this poem. I hope it's a sign? Haha.
