Solace of Night

Missing image

Flowing dreams falling into the darkness
of oblivion

Stark creations of reality nipping at the
flourishing light

Winds of change are stronger than my
yesterdays

Seeking only the solace of night

A ghostly apparition of poetic device, a twist of the fatal and frightfull night, let the gentle evening breeze carry me away for I am as light as a feather and less than bound to this thing I used to call life.

I like it, I like it so!

    oh wow..

what an amazing little piece you've penned! the contrast between light and dark whuile it has been done a number of times , has in my opinion.. not been written with such powerful iagery in so few words, it proves not only the great poectic talent you possess, but also the wisdom you've gained in life..an excellent pen my sweet lady!

Beautiful write. Wonderful imagery. I liked the parts of light and night the best. It makes me think of how the days get longer during the late spring and summer and it's nicer to get outside then. Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest.
