The Relation

As spring comes forth
And the rain falls down,
The flowers bloom to their highest
Sending the message around.
Easter is a spring event
Have you ever questioned why?
Believe it or not, there's a relationship
A bonding link or tie.
Easter wasn't in the winter
With the snow so freely white,
It wasn't in the summer
When the sun is hot and bright.
It didn't happen in the fall
As the leaves fall and sing,
The timing was perfect for it to take place now
Because of the whole meaning of spring.
Spring is a time for a new beginning
As the flowers and butterflies come fast,
But its a fresh start for all of us too
Our sins can now be left in the past.
Jesus was hung on the cross
But when resurrected, became something more,
A caterpillar turns into a butterfly
And now they both can soar.
All the meanings of Easter
And all the meanings of spring
Are combined together in a strong hold
This is the message I bring.
