The story of a memory just past....

Christo was a walker. Always has been and probably always will be. BUT this has nothing to do with him, he was just in the way.

Lauren, well she was a dreamer; but not just any kind of dreamer. She was the girl who would meet a guy and dream that she was completely in love with him. Well of course this was never the case. BUT then this story isn't really about her either. She was just kind of there.

This story is really about Elizabeth and well really about Ian too. This is by no mean's the traditional girl meet's boy story. Well anyway you will see.

Liz grew up in the country. You know the whole good solid peasant stock type.
Which she was in no way ashamed of she enjoyed it. However at eighteen her parent's who { until and after that dreadfull hour} were absent pushed her to get married. Liz had no problem with this. It was the boy's who did.
Well either way she pushed it to the back of her mind.

Now Ian was a strange boy. Rather hypo if you will. He wasn't from the country; he wasn't really from anywhere. And he did'nt exactly have a great lot of luck with the ladies. So for the last three years everything had been kinda crap for him. Well luck changes.

Liz was having one hell of a day. Threw up at work, walked into a pole and ended up at a place she did'nt want to be with people she did't want to be around. Christo was complaining about having to sit still. And Lauren wasn't answering her phone. So Liz is sitting there getting more and more tired. And the tireder Liz get's the more pissed of she get's. The kid's are screaming and just as Liz decides to go home. Someone walk's through the door. This someone is Ian [but of course Liz does'nt know this] and she think's to herself well he's cute let's see how this works out. So Ian start's talking and he really talk's ALOT. So Liz is getting irritated. Then it all just calm's down and our two charector's get talking and well we know what happen's next.

So fast forward four month's. Everything is goin fine. They meet the family, the friend's, the pet's. Then one day Liz comes home from work and find's Ian still i bed. And he tries to explain himself. How he's had a hard time lately.
Liz doesn't understand. She can't understand why Ian is changing so fast.
So Ian tell's her about his life. Why he is how he is. Or at least he tries. Liz act's like she doesn't want to hear it. So Ian lock's up.

Liz ask's 'how are you?'  and is answered with either 'i'm fine' or 'just tired'.

Ian stop's coming to see Liz as much. She just can't deal with him. And he does'nt want to hurt her anymore.
Old habit's kick in, old addiction's. Liz never notices.
Never notices when she comes home from work that Ian has been crying all day. That he throw's up half of what he eat's from stress. And Ian stop's eating at all when liz isn't around. He's not being secret. She just doesn't notice.

Liz wonder's what's going on, she can't work it out. So she call's Ian one day when he's at home. And suddenly an innocent 'how are you?' call blow's up in her face. And  it's the breakup. Sudden, tearing, dysfunctional and final.

Ian can't work out what happened, he was just trying to tell the truth. And now, the girl he love's hates him. Won't talk to him.
So he shut's down even more. Living by himself it's easier for no one to notice anything's wrong. Ian rarely goes out or speak's to anyone.
He get's wasted and sit's at home by himself. He changes, at first it's gradual. Then it's so obvious people start to take notice.

Liz has moved on. New man, not exactly 'love' but who really know's what that is.
And everytime she walk's past Ian she look's the other way. But she is always clinging on to Liam's hand. And that hurts Ian more then anything else.

So one day Ian is gone. He's not at home. Not at work. He is simply gone.
Four two month's he dissapears. And when he comes back. It's not Ian anymore.
No one know's who this person is. He is weak and quiet. He doesn't make jokes.
And he doesn't ever speak Liz's name.

She doesn't know where he went. No one does. But it's still Ian. And she still loves him.
And Ian make's sure that she wil never ever know. That he will alway's love her.
Even if he hates her family, her friends and espeshially the pet's.

This is no ordinary love story. In fact there was a whole lot more love then word's could ever tell....But that deserves to stay in their memory's.

dont you think...?

Author notes

I haven't really written a story since primary school but i thought this worked well. Allthough some of the content is based on a true story all names, personality's and actual event's have been changed... in other word's all the important stuff....
The real story deserves to stay in LIz and Ian's memory ....hope you like it wasn't easy to write

Although the grammar irks me, I'm a fanatic about that, the story kept my interest and it is quite different from the "girl meets boy".
Very interesting and if it's real, what a catastrophe to happen to those people.
Well done and best of luck!

it was a very true story and was very close to me. the grammer wasn't suppopsed to be there really i just wrote as it flowed.... i wanted the attitude and emotion in the piece...there was alot of role reversal in this piece
