Unknown Feelings

I knew you once and hated your guts,
But I never really KNEW you.
I spent my time in crowded little huts,
Awaiting something pure and true.

I believed I had it,
It all seemed right.
I turn my back for one second,
And it took off into the night.

Confused and in pain,
I walked through the crowd.
The only one there in the rain,
The one I didn't even want to be around.

I never would have thought in a million years,
That you would be the only one there in my time of need.
Patiently waiting through all the tears,
Never once showing signs that you were going to flee.

I don't know what's wrong with me,
But there's just something about you.
You make me so happy,
A happiness that I didn't know was true.

Everytime I see your face my heart skips a beat,
My stomach flutters at the sound of your name.
The wall i've put up feels defeat,
Your words slowly drive me insane!

I've waited for you like I have no other,
Hoping that one day it can happen.
Silently pleading you'll wait for me  no matter,
If so then we could be everlastin'.

If these words are strange I apologize,
But never for how I feel.
I just hope you realize,
That what i'm feeling is real.
