travelin'

These crazy times full of heartbreak and lies-are driving me mad
things are right now in society "bad"
yet still i'm glad, no room for sad
~just happy~

free to come and free to go
where i'll be next week, well, next week i'll know
the money i've made by possessions don't show
but you know?
~i'm happy~

clothes on my back, food in my stomach, my puppy who's always provided for
where is it written that misery is mandatory??

Sure I want to work and settle down
but right now its NICE to bounce around
to see the world as it is-profound

it's nice to be out here with a chance to explore
a time for memories and ideas i'll have in store
to work knowing i'm happy with what i've seen before
~and why not?~

I'm young and free and the lord will provide
we've been so close lately; side by side
and i love what he's teaching me on this ride
~through life~

this little adventure or stop on the way
to the life i will have-working every day
when my priorities will include my monthly pay
but for now i say...
~why not?~

why waste this chance to wander about?
i'm a modern hippie it has to come out!
