Once upon a fairy time
it’s how they always start.
A tale of bears and Goldilocks
and love to fill your heart.
The bears are having porridge
but it seems a little hot,
so, on they put their hats and shoes
and out the door they trot.
They’re off to have a little walk
until their food is cool
but left their door wide open,
right there for one and all.
Now Goldilocks feels hungry
and she sees this open door
and smells the lovely breakfast,
wandering in to find out more.
Poor baby bear’s the target
as she eats up all his food
and tries each chair to have a rest,
she’s in a sleepy mood.
She next finds beds, 3 in a row
and wonders which to choose,
so tries them all and falls asleep,
a deeply, lovely, snooze.
The bears come home exhausted
with their bellies rumbling loud,
to find their house dishevelled
and they hear a snoring sound
At first they are not happy
you can hear their bear-y cries,
then Goldilocks emerges
with her beautiful ‘Golden eyes’.
They all sit down and chat a while
and friends they all become,
the bears, all 3 and Goldilocks,
best pals, best mates, best chums.
