Fools

Things we'll never know,
Something that will never be,
When we close our eyes,
The things we'll never see.

Feelings never felt,
Tears never shed,
The regrets that would haunt,
Never to be said.

Our hearts spared,
Locked up tight under key,
Held by others,
Who will never be you or me.

The hears that hold those keys do they know the price we pay? Do they truly grasp what it means to be a lover and not to romance...

When I see the words they speak of things that should and could never be yet in the minds eye all things are possible even that impossible dream.

So in the dark of my nights, blink an eye and you shall see me dreaming a little dream of thee.

I like it, I like it so!

Really enjoyed reading this, it tells a good story but I felt that the last stanza was a little awkward with it's rhyme/flow.

    Aside from that, excellent write.

Thanks for entering and good luck in my contest.
