We can easily justify whatever we do.
Not knocking excuses; I’ve used a few too.
With lines being crossed between right and wrong,
evil now resides where it does not belong.
Criminals are now victims in the eyes of the court,
from lawyers with incentives to twist and contort.
Truth becomes secondary to political rant,
with a Media determined to mislead and slant.
The term “Liability”, now forefront in mind,
integrity and honor not that common to find.
Lies labeled “normal”, as a part of the game.
Acts of destruction bringing fortune and fame.
A country once strong where freedom rang proud,
replaced by deception that screams out so loud.
I don’t know the answers but if I would guess,
God won’t continue putting up with this mess.
But still I have hope that never deters.
My faith will not falter whatever occurs.
This crippling disease threatening our land,
will not change the fact that God’s in command.
Someday I pray that our children will see,
the only true way for us to be free.
The answer is simple; honest and pure,
our nation is troubled and Christ is the cure.
Author notes
There is only one place to turn. Jesus is the cure. Pray for our nation.

Wow!
The answer is simple; honest and pure,

I was trying to highlight lines in this poem that I thought were good, but if I did that I would have to highlight the whole thing! I wish I had written this, but I'm so glad you did. I love your style, no fooling around, I try to do that, but I'm not at your level yet. I look forward to reading the other things you have written. I haven't ever asked anyone on Allpoetry directly to do this, but if you have time could you take a look at a poem I have written called, "Christmas Where You May Not Worship Him" it's kinda long (66 lines)...but if you have time, I would appreciate your take on it. Thanks

Sorry ...
but this has nothing whatever to do with the theme or purpose of this contest.
Better luck placing it elsewhere.
