Equipment:
[A necklace] that displays the Seal of the Royal Family. It can only be worn by members of the Royal Family, else it will severely burn the holder/shrink and decapitate any other who should dare to wear it. This necklace multiplies the magic and manipulative powers of the members of the Royal Family exponentially, keeping them far above their subjects in such things. It also lends them some resistance to extreme heat and allows them to safely take on complete human forms, which also sets them apart from most of their subjects, who usually retain some indication that they are merfolk either by scales or some fins, despite being able to take on generally bipedal anatomies.
He also wears the [Prince’s crown] often.
~A small [crystal bracelet] that's passed down from oldest royal male child to oldest royal male child. It has magical properties, and is a conduit through which whoever wears it can summon and play Mercury.
[Mercury] is a unique harp, as there is no other harp resembles the harp or the harp's powers. When not active, Mercury takes the form of a crystal bracelet around the owner's left wrist which can only be removed in death or the birth of an heir to Mercury.
Mercury is only able to be summoned when the owner possesses a spirit that is in harmony with the world. This is due to the nature of it's power. Harbringer, a powerful melody which brings forth great change in unpredictable amounts and purposes.
When summoned, Mercury draws upon that harmonious energy of the owner, and changes the energy to Crystal and Mercury, taking it's shape. The strings are made of Mercury, thus it's name. However, the body of the harp is made of Energized Crstal.

Murcury: his Harp can also transform into a Bow which fires arrows comprised of the same energy it uses to create the strings, where as the strings turn into Mercury.
[Swift]: a sword which draws on the same harmonious energy as Mercury so as to give this never dulling weapon an extra sharper edge than normal. This sword, much like his sister’s blades,will never break or succumb to extreme temperatures or pressures. When this sword clashes against a metal object, it lets off a harmonic vibration which castes an illusion on those who hear it.

Able to alter his form between that of a merfolk and a human (however, while a human if he becomes the scales on his arms and chest will start to appear).

Personality: Quiet and patient, Uiscemeon likes to keep the company of others although. He is a natural in combat, but slow to draw his sword first as he knows well how easy it is to take a life. As his world is traditionally a monarchy, he joined his world’s military. However, his genius mind and ability to think of many different possibilities and strategies in a very short time elevated him quickly to the head of the royal guard. He always found irony in this as the guard’s first duty is to protect the royal family, yet he was royalty himself. The only thing that ever set him off was having his hair pulled, even in jest.
Background:
Long ago, Gael was a peaceful land of many wonderous natural technological advances mixed with Magic of Myth. The land was dominated by what we know as Merfolk. To ensure the entire world was kept safe, one powerful magical family sponsored a beureaucratic organization to protect the land from both natural and unnatural threats. This family quicky rose to power with each dead they performed, as per the people's wish. After so long, the family itself was no longer needed to serve, as citizens were enlisting of their own will. After a few decades, this family now ruled over the entire world of Geal Speir Aigean as well as established the only Military the world had ever seen.
One day, the two stars that orbited Geal Speir Aigean started to draw near to the planet. This threatened all of the inhabitants, as their world was becoming increasingly hot, with waters evaporating. In some places their mountain ranges started to peak above the water due to the low levels of water, and storms ravished the area above the sea levels. If something wasn't done fast, most of the water would dry up, and the waters would be too hot for them to inhabit any longer. In desperation the oldest and most influential member of the Ruling family, the Queen, met with the heads of her military, as well as all of her trusted advisers and mages. They spent much time deciding the best course of action. The Military Leaders wanted to figure out a way to destroy the stars, the Mages thought it best to open a portal to another world and recreate their land, and the Queen's Advisers thought it best to leave things as they were, that nature would protect and save them. The Queen grew annoyed with the arrogance of these people. She trusted them to be a single united voice in the mission to save the lives of the world she loved so much.
In a fit of annoyance and exhaustion from the heat, the Queen stormed out of the chambers and made her way to the ancient sanctuary of her people, deep within the core of the land. The water was cool there; she'd be able to bring peace to her mind to think of a solution. After much time in deep thought, she heard a harmonious song surrounding her. It was the song of nature itself, seeming to emanate from her comb. Carefully, she reached up to her comb in her hair. As she touched it, she felt a comfortable energy course down her arm. Lights and streams of energy came out of the comb, and formed into a majestic luminescent harp before her. She was in awe, having never seen something so beautiful. As if guided by the sea and the nature around her, she started to play the harp to match the song she could hear. Instantly, she was filled with power, wisdom, and courage.
Now knowing what to do in order to save the world and folk she loved so much, she swam to the surface of the world. As she did, her body began to change. Her scales faded, blending in together. He tail split into two. She had become completely human, sacrificing her immortality to her people. She was now standing on the surface of the water, playing the harp. As she played, mysteriously the stars started to move away from Geal Speir Aigean, and the water cooled. However, at the same time, her form began to fade. The harp was eating the energy of her very spirit. Once the stars were in their rightful place, her form had almost faded. With one final wish, she disappeared, forever.
That was the story that was told through out his world. Although he was considered a child when this had happened, he remembered it all well. For a long time afterwards, he was the one who kept his family together. A few corrupt leaders tried to assume the throne but he never allowed it, always fighting to defend his sister’s place as the rightful ruler, often killing his opponent. He never told his sisters this, as he wanted to spare them the trauma of knowing that not everyone felt respectful for their mother’s sacrifice.
Once his sister, Nerissa, was old enough to take care of herself and had established herself credibility with the top leaders as someone who knew what she was doing and not to screw with, he left the family and joined the military. He loved it, the structure and order. There was a perfect balance about everything there.
After he’d been promoted to the head of the guard, he fell in love with another merman who was a part of the Intelligence division, Anteros. Anteros, to Uiscemeon, was the embodiment of perfection. His love was not ignored, either. Anteros had long noticed Uiscemeon, and after he, Anteros, was dismissed from the Military, the two of them sought the Queen’s blessing.
It was also in the military that he discovered his love for harmonics. While positioned as the head of the guard, he started research into this little known field of science. He discovered a mysticism in it, and grew to be very proficient.
