The World is Conforming.

Let people think what they think.
Let people say what they say.

Let them bitch about me,
Let them judge me,
Let them make assumptions.

Here is the hard truth though,

I am me.

I wont be anyone else.
I wont pretend.
I wont conform.
I wont be what I "should" be.
I will be what I am.

And I am me.

Nobody else.

Me.

I don't care what people think
or say.
It doesn't matter to me
what people say behind my back.

No one should judge like that,
Anyone who makes loose assumptions like that,
Spreads gossip,
Turns people against others,
Bullies,
Can stay away from me
and those I care for.

The true friends will stick by me
no matter what.
The true friends will accept me
for who I am.
And they do.
The true friends are the only ones
that hold any value with me.

The others
Can go get fucked.

Because
I am me.
And I wont be anyone else.

I like this. You obviously make it clear you can't stand judgemental people. This poem is obvisouly something young, unconfident people should aspire to, and realise that this is the perfect attitude to become a definatly happy , strong person.

welldone dani. truly inspiring with strong use of language only some think, and too weak to say

okay, this is the first poem of yours i've read and it actually sounds like you saying it... not saying the others are bad but this one, its just so... you! good on you love you

  • You state your message loud and clear. It's an attitude that will carry you through life, and could feel myself saying 'amen' to as I read. One might think the use of vulgarity might add to the power of the message, but I think in this instance it actually takes away from it. But that is just my humble opinion.
