Beyond The Cave

I fade into the world
and I merge with the sun
just to hear those songs of the sky.
The world starts to blow
and the breeze carries me
for my soul I begin to comply.
I become one with mind
and the world far beyond
I join hands with the clouds and the stars.
Now the wars are all done
and I'm blinded by light
and there are no such things as scars.

My eyes are now closed
but I'm seeing new truth
and I wish that they could understand.
Would they see what I see
or we they look away
from a wonder so brilliant and grand.
If they knew of the bliss
and the nature of Earth
do they know that their souls could be saved.
If they separate themselves
from what they have been told

then they wouldn't be sheltered and enslaved.

Author notes

I based this poem after sociology's best allegory, the cave. Based on a man who steps out of the proverbial cave and steps out to a diverse world beyond. He is then blinded by truth.

    This is the best write you've written so far..and this I really believe. The whole thing really grabs the soul.I really can't point out a line that is my favorite..I love the whole thing.

    It is a facinating write..again,love it..

    I am very impressed! Veyr fluid, and yeah very deep. separating the soul from the mind and body. most haven't even a remote clue.

      Thank you, I really appreciate it. I was sitting outside in the sunlight todayay and I just ran with wherever my mind took me.
      Yes, people cannot even begin to see or be within their souls because they are "destined" to bebieve that there is only one path in life to prevail. When this mentality is taken, thex never open themselves to anyone else's path. Others are seen as archaic, abnormal, and of savage nature. The word right is misunderstood and a matter of opinion, and the word wrong is a brutal ruthless killer.
