He never found his lady wolf to make him smile.
"Turn off the moon," said Lone wolf.
"Turn off the stars. I want to see no light tonight," he continued.
So there's no light from the moon.
There's no light from the stars.
God is our only light.
So walk ever in to the light...so bright.
"Aim for the stars! That's a joke," cried Lone wolf.
"The stars are so far away. They're not even in our own Milky Way Galaxy," he continued.
"I give up! Why even try? I'll be like a weeping willow and cry, cry, cry!"
There's no light from the moon tonight.
There's no light from the stars tonight.
God is our only light.
So walk ever in to the light...so bright.

I'm Speechless
Wow, wow. This is such an awesome poem, I'm so touched. It started out as a tragic story, but then you added in the idea of God's brilliant light... Wow, it was so interesting that you chose a wolf to convey the story, this was beautiful my friend.

Profound-beautiful...
Wise way to convey a message... "The Lone Wolf" flies like a hummingbird depositing the seeds of understanding on the flowers of the forest of mankind.
"The Lone Wolf" strikes the dynamo of consciousness, and shows the way to life beyond lives.
In respect and admiration,
Andre Emmanuel Bendavi ben-YEHU

God is our light and we just need to follow him. Good poem

I understand the lone wolf's feelings since I used to be a lone wolf too. A wonderful poem that reaches out to those who are having a rough time and gives them light. Thank you for such a good poem.

I love the drawing... fits perfectly with the poem. I can sympathize with the lone wolf here. Especially in the third stanza, where the problems become so great you don't even want to solve them. The last line of that stanza flows so well it could be out of a song.
Fantastic write, my friend. Absolutely fantastic

-
wow I love your wolf picture, this was pretty cool. I think I would of stayed in the bright light myself. Thanks for sharing

This is very beautifully written. I like the way you incorporated bible scriptures and a sad wolf looking for help. Truly, Jehovah can help us with all things. I enjoyed the read!!!

Amazing job
I loved this one it was great. Had a wonderful imgae to it as you read it. -
Quite an inspiring written poem...which sounds like something he would say. God is our only light and yet we all search for other lights before we pass across the bridge. Life on earth is full of light if we continue to search for it or just open our eyes.

-
Quite a different write which is nice to see. I like how you put double meanings on the word 'light' and used a conversation style here. I'm sure Jules will find this inspiring. Well done...alby
