Trinicate. But... I want a Triscuit...

What is the true meaning of the word friend?
Is it someone who will be there til the very end –
Someone who never hurts you or lies?

Well, I’ve had friends, and I’ve told lies,
And I can’t say I’ve never let down a friend;
But I’ve never let a dumb reason cause it’s end.

Maybe it’s true, what everyone says in the end;
“It wasn’t worth it – they were self-absorbed and told only lies.”
But tell me, now, what happens to that friend?

So tell me, now, are you a true friend?

Author notes

The amusement that I find in everyday life and interactions comes to a halt when I find that some people are actually just like the people they used to say they hat.

My hat's off to you, old friend. You got me good; aren't you proud.

    A friend in need, is a friend indeed!
    Trust is a hard thing to find nowadays hun.
    And you will find that there is only one person you can trust in the end, to look out for you.
    And that person sweet lady, is yourself.

    Never actually had a triscuit. In much the same Ive never really had a friend. However I imagine they are much the same, dry, full of shit that's not good for your body, and rather very salty when you get down to it. The piece itself seems written from a standpoint of someone whos so damn tired of they games we play, that theyve just given up. Any reader can instantly feel the weight on your chest. Good job. ~ Peace and love
