Letters fluttered around the room
Each one giving a reason s to why I miss you
Tattered papers of the wrongful words
Tears pouring down my cheeks as I think of all we used to do
I never thought I could let go of your grip
Never forget what you were to me
Give me the strength to forgive and not forget
Grips are tightening as I try to let you rest in peace
Open the doors to heaven and be set free
Only I cannot leave you... let me get on with my life
Forgetting all the places we visited...
These thoughts that run around won't leave me alone
Help me let go!
Everyday I let go and everyday you pull me back in
Present memories clash with ones from the past
All I ever wanted was for you to help me let go
Stop pulling me back... the grip keeps getting strong
Time keeps the grip from breaking; never can I let go.
