Ces Yeux-Those Eyes

It was in that moment,
that moment I gazed into those eyes,
I knew that these would be the eyes,
the only eyes, I would gaze into the rest of my life.

Orbs of melted bronze,
the way they danced
and the way they burned
with the grace of a swan

I still remember the way that
she was filled with spirit;
strong-willed and free,
similar to a wild horse

Her walk, graceful, refined,
full of power and beauty.
Her step lithe, and confident,
but her personality benign

I cherish the days, the memories,
those long, wonderful days,
where we sat in the stone garden
with the sun shining golden

Her hands, long and thin,
her skin soft, fair, unblemished.
Her complexion, rosy and alive,
expressing the purity within

She had a different view,
more different than any other I had met.
I suppose that's why I held her close to my heart,
she not only viewed the world, she saw it

Her love, always sincere,
was so huge and so great.
I can barely fathom,
what made it disappear.

I now see her from time to time,
in the clouds, soft and pale
Loving the Earth and its beings,
with her tears

Author notes

I wrote this in symbolization of Mother Earth. The woman I spoke of is to symbolize her. I think people need to stop murdering Nature, it's too beautiful to lose and nigh impossible to regain once gone

This is so beautiful, it is gorgeous to see someone taking mother nature in this way and showing us all the obvious which we too easily forget. Well done

    She had a different view,
more different than any other I had met.

Thats my favorite. That verse means a lot to me. I can relate it to my own life in a way. I've been thinking of ways to sum something up, & that verse gets it all.

& "Loving the Earth and its beings,
with her tears" I love it x]
