The Leaving Letter

As I leave you all today
I want you all to know.
I will not forget you
but it's time for me to show;
All of my abilities
that I have  learned through time,
all the strength I have inside
provoking me to climb.

I will miss you as I leave,
I hope that you do well.
I have drive and confidence
I'm going to excell.
I thank you for loving me
and I'll always love you.
This is good for each of us
and we will see it through.

Please try not to shed a tear
don't worry about me.
There's a world that looms out there
its time to set me free.
It is time to build my life
with blocks of new design.
When you think about me,
please don't wory, I'll be fine.

  • This is wonderful and has great flow. I really have to say that it is a kind of depressing write..to think that you leaving. I'm happy for your success.
    My favorite part of it is the last paragraph..especially the lines;
    "Please try not to shed a tear
    don't worry about me.
    There's a world that looms out there
    its time to set me free."
    Absolutley sensational..

    Once again..a marvolous job.

    I really like the last line, lovely rhyme! ^^

    Are you really going? Or just not going to be on here as often? Both will be bad, but I hope it is the latter...

    • No, I'm not leaving the site. This is sort of a letter of departure, dedicated to my parents, family, and friends in my area. In regards to me going to the universj)y next year.
      I guess I kind of had evil intentions by not stating that in the author notes because I was really curious of what people would perceive from this poem.
      Thanks for reading and there WILL be many more.
