Tiny tears from tiny souls,
Evil and terror that no one knows.
Blackened torture, captive holds,
The darkness still untold.
Echoed screams from tearful homes,
Secrets thrown into dampened holes.
Unspoken truth, sweet sacrifice,
Denial and blindness will not sufice.
Diamonds should wear, less bitter tears,
Rubys and sapphires need not have fears.
Each child is a priceless gem,
And yet the stone is corroded again.

I like this write from ya. its very well penned and the methaphorical phrases through out are killer awesome. the imagery and painting you describe and created with this poem is awesome. This poem is really simple, but sweet in a sad way. I like how you wrote it, you definitely have talent, that's for sure. While, from a former babysitter's point of view, a child is not so sweet when they're tired and throwing a tantrum
, I do think you've made your point and written about it in such a way as to make someone almost forget how much like little demons kids can be.
