goddess night beneath your stars
hear my call, oh beauty of the night
I call forth an answer to flight
where this road shall lead me forth
along this path alighted by yours stars

destitute spread such on either side
oh goddess, beauty of the night hear my plea,
grant me wings to fly beyond the horizon
into the warming glows of pink roses,
turned to purple irises in your sky

beyond the heavens grace
where rivers lay untamed by human hands
and the trees whisper in the winds their ancient tales
of worlds long past, and journeys long taken
oh goddess of the night, hear my plea

on such a sacred journey to the spiritual
I see forth into the yonder lands
where our ancestors thrived on love
and eyes were cast up to the lovely night
to you oh goddess of the night

almost I can see,
a place where fingers grace the river side
cool kisses of the rivers love on them
such a place be true only where I linger
goddess night, shall you show me such

there among the life of the forest
wrapped in the spirits of all the life
I shall see the truth in the life I have lived
to love and hate, and know and forget
oh dear goddess of the night guide me

here where I walk along the green path
shall my soul find a mate within these trees
and the trunks of old carves heal with tears of hope
for that is what I wish to amend my dues now and before

among the sight of the evening descent
