A MOTHER’S DELIGHT

Nipples filled to the brim and tender
Sometimes cracked and overflowing with nectar; for which to surrender
Wholesome nourishment to nurture
The pain at times so delightfully unbearable
Barely holding back the tears so irresistible
Even so it gives her pleasure,
Committed for good reason to the feeding
provided only for a season;
As blood combines with the stream of natures supply
Tiny lips impatiently sip in the view of mother’s delight

Author notes

I believe that breastfeeding is necessary for healthy living, beautiful and a private practice between the mother and her child (Not for public viewing) It's a personal point of view.

    Lovely

    and it reminded me of my best friend as i always sit and talk w/her while she's feeding the newest and youngest of her sons. i will show her this tomorrow. the only suggestion i have is that maybe 'sips' should be sip. other than that this Really is very sweet and touching!!
