Roadside Fair

Come one and all, to the roadside fair!
Come alone, bring a friend; Enter if you dare!
Such wonders and horrors for all to see,
Welcome to a world far from reality.
Creatures so creepy, they'll make your toes curl;
Monsters so horrifying you'll scream like a girl.
Acrobats and contortionists sure to twist your mind,
Light displays so dazzling as to temporarily blind.
Hold tight and stay close - something might be hungry.
A monster or two might find you oh so tasty.
Go meet the twins, they're quite joined at the hip.
Don't pet the Wolfman - he's been known to nip!
The siren, my yes, she's enchanting indeed.
Near her, men pay their wives little heed.
Now the leprechaun, he's a surly chap,
Always counting his gold; that greedy sap!
The banshee and poltergeist are best left alone.
Why not try your luck at the Sword in the Stone?
Things of myth, legend, and fairytale galore;
You'll never be the same once you walk thru the door!
So find your way here some dark starry night,
We'll be gone before dawn's early light.
And years from now, when you're gray and old,
You'll tell the tale of when you were young and bold,
How you ignored the warnings to have a care,
And wandered thru the night to the roadside fair.
You'll tell of the wonders you happened to see,
And they'll hound you with questions about the mystery.
No one ever knows where and when we might appear,
And none can ever explain just how we disappear.
So keep your eyes open when you lay down at night,
We just might appear, to scare and delight!
