We are two statues carved from the same wood -
a twisted tree-trunk -
beloved branches become merged;
let the vines grow around us,
let they become entwined,
mirroring our love -
beauty constant and still,
lest the Wind's will command our star-stroking branches to bend,
yet we shall not break, though our leaves are scattered;
these roots dwell deep in the ground,
twisting, twining,
threads in our knitting,
pieces in our perfect, passionate puzzle -
for eternity we shall belong to each other,
beings of the ancient Forest -
we shall give birth to Nature.
