You courted me like a besotted tiger,
Snarling at every Y chromosome
That dared sniff in my direction--

Joined years before we lay together
And the child that toddles half-asleep into our bed
Was ours long before we each even existed
I have loved you so many lifetimes...
Track, time and place have no meaning nor matter
Only you and I, timelessly ribboned within one another,
