This world is a dangerous place
Everywhere around, it surrounds
Death on every corner, never trust foreigner
Paranoia and disdain, hardly even sane
The glass is dry, forget half-empty
Everyone is a cheat, a liar, dressed in sheep's attire
Pessimistic and sneering, nothing worth cheering
What's this about selfless acts? I don't believe in that crap!
No good in the world, just selfishness unfurled
You're all blind by pretty stories
I doubt your motives to ever be good-hearted
I trust no one since my ignorance departed
There are no saviors, only fame-chasers
Heroes don't exist to assist
They act dominant to gain a title more prominent
Scornful and negative, I bleed skepticism
I scoff at pretensions of integrity and optimism
Forget this world, you are all self-serving scum
I am a cynic; unlike you, I'm not dense nor dumb.

This is a very powerful piece, emotion throbbing with every word. You're not afraid to use words that might go over-the-top, because it fits the emotion perfectly.

I must say that I have found what it is that I seek, someone who has not fear of the masses for knowing that the power resides within the one who looks out and sees things for what they really are.

Let it be said that humanity is a blight on this here unholy earth for so long as a footprint is made on that pristine sand and thoughts run like a river there will be the signs that mankind has descimated every living thing it has ever spoiled.
