I'm not ready,



Today's the big day,
Not sure what to say,
Vow's and promises, What if  I cannot keep?
Maybe I'm just getting cold feet.
Or maybe I'm just not ready for a commitment like this.

I'm not ready,
I feel like if I do this,
I'll throw my life away.

I'm sorry, but right now I Do is something I cannot say.
Besides look at all those lovers,

who think it's destiny.
Getting married only to discover,
they are not meant be.
I'm sorry but I have to pass,

This is not something ,
I am ready to risk.

    Nice job on the poem however given the picture this person should have been a bit more honest an figured it out way before the wedding dress lol. great job and Thank you so much for taking the time to enter my contest and best wishes to you!

    Better to get cold feet now than to have regrets later. This is a strong, heartfelt poem with a good message. A well written piece
